David Brydson - Business Architect & Optimization SpecialistAt least that’s what I hope my online profile conveys to you…

It’s fascinating to me that in today’s marketplace we’re supposed to summarize who and what we are in 140 characters or less.

Supposedly, able to capture your attention, gain your interest, and fully explain how I can help you. That’s a awful lot to expect from so few words.

It’s as if we’re required to only communicate in a 10 second sound bite with a personalized elevator pitch that everyone ignores like they do Muzak.

I hate it!

So, here’s a lot more than 140 characters about
David Brydson – Business Architect & Alchemist

My passion, as a business growth consultant, is to engineer solutions for my clients based on their specific business goals and needs. Not too difficult once I get to know more about my clients and deeply understand their challenges.

I’ve never understood why most consultants barge in and start making changes before taking the time to study the landscape. And yet it happens far too often.

Shillers and pushers of the specific product/service/tactic du jour.

I am platform agnostic, meaning I hate most all pre-canned systems equally.

What this means is I’m not going to shoehorn your business into something that isn’t right for you.

That just wouldn’t match my company’s name, BestFit Solutions, would it?

I admit that my approach takes longer.

However our results speak for themselves.

The business advisory industry has almost become a joke.

More than 70% of business improvement projects fail and 90% of workers have no idea of the business’s goals.

That is unacceptable and that’s why we do what we do the way we do it.

By learning your business we get the chance to understand your unique challenges.

No two businesses are the same.
We get it.

Don’t worry!

This doesn’t mean that we stand around drinking coffee and collecting checks for months before we actually do anything.

While we’re learning about your business we’re also looking at and implementing immediate changes that deliver quick results. By the time we have your business analysis completed to our standards we’ll all have a much better understanding of all your needs.

My blog, The Business Alchemist Guild, is published whenever I have something to say.

I won’t fill the blog with noise just for the sake of meeting a publishing schedule.

I write on a wide range of subjects but mostly focus on business systems and technology. I write about entrepreneurship and useful software tools that I find.

Unlike many bloggers, I do not check my following with any frequency but I do make a point of responding to every email and comment personally.

My writing is mostly a way to clarify my thinking and share things I’m learning.

  • When I have a new idea that I want to develop, I will write about it here.
  • When I have something I am trying to grok I’ll write about it.
  • When a particular insight strikes me, I’ll write it here.
  • I might even start posting some of my crazier, mad scientist ideas too.

I recently started speaking about business and technology and delivered educational presentations to local clubs and organizations. I enjoy public speaking and so far no one has thrown any rotten tomatoes.

To learn more about my speaking check out my personal website.

In my personal life I am a husband and father.

My family is the greatest part of my life. I derive much joy from my children, grandchildren and get exuberance regulation from my wife. I enjoy travel, barbecues, good cigars, better tequila and great food.

I hope you enjoy my site.
